Beautiful Parks & Gardens - Greensboro Beautiful, in cooperation with the Greensboro Department of Parks and Recreation maintains 3 distinct public gardens. The Bicentennial Garden features a wedding gazebo and meandering man-made stream in the midst of ground covers, shrubs, annual and perennial flowers, and canopy trees. In sharp contrast is the Bog Garden, a nature preserve showcasing indigenous plants and birds. The 17-acre Greensboro Arboretum contains 12 permanent displays of different types of plants, including conifers, hydrophytic plants, sun and shade gardens, a winter garden, and a rose garden.
Tanglewood Park The combination of its streams, woodlands and grassy pastures and traditions of its architecture, horses, gardening and wide range of recreational activities make Tanglewood an ideal countryside park to visit over and over again.
Tanglewood Arboretum - the park's Arboretum and Fragrance Garden represents a true measure of Tanglewood's natural and striking beauty. The magnificent Arboretum, nestled behind Tanglewood's historic Manor House not too far from our Greensboro lodging, is a public garden. It contains diverse collections of native flora and herbs.
