From westbound I-40/southbound I-85 (i.e. coming from Raleigh, Richmond and points east and north):

• Approaching Greensboro at about milepost 132, DO NOT take I-85 exit to Charlotte. Stay on I-40/business 85 westbound toward Greensboro and Winston-Salem.
• Take Exit 41 ("old exit 128") - Lee St./NC 6 and bear right onto Lee St. Stay on Lee St. about 3 miles to Murrow Blvd. Turn right (north) onto Murrow and proceed a few blocks to intersection with Friendly. This will be the next traffic light after you pass Market St. Friendly will be a one way street going west (left). Take Friendly about 1 mile, through downtown Greensboro. Leaving downtown you will pass Spring St., then go over a small bridge and cross Cedar St. The next intersection with a traffic light is Mendenhall St. Turn left onto Mendenhall St., proceed one block and go straight across Market St.
• After crossing over Market the Troy Bumpas lodging is 3rd house on right. It's a 3-story red-brick house with 4 white columns on large front porch and sign in front. The driveway is just past the house - it's the first driveway on the right after you cross Market. Drive up past the Inn - parking is in the back.

 

From northbound I-85 (i.e. coming from Charlotte, Atlanta and points south):

• At I-85/Business 85 split, take Business 85 to Greensboro (this is Exit 120, 3 lanes exiting to right).
• Take Business 85 to Exit 122-B (Coliseum area/US 220N). After exit stay to left (toward Coliseum area) onto Freeman Mill Rd. (Do NOT take right exit for US 220 N). Take Freeman Mill Rd to Friendly Ave. Turn left onto Friendly. Take Friendly to Mendenhall St. (about 0.3 miles). Turn left on Mendenhall St., cross Market St (1 block).
• After crossing Market the Troy Bumpas is 3rd house on right. The Greensboro Bed and Breakfast is a 3 story red-brick house with 4 white columns on large front porch and sign in front. The driveway is just past the house - it's the first driveway on the right after you cross Market. Drive up past the Inn - parking is in the back.

 

From eastbound I-40 (i.e. coming from Asheville, Winston-Salem and points west):

• Approaching Greensboro take exit 212(business I-40/Bryan Blvd/PTI Airport)-then bear to left-do NOT take right exit for Bryan Blvd/airport.Shortly after this interchange go past exits 24 and 25 and take exit 214B(Wendover Ave East). This is the 2nd Wendover exit and merges onto W. Wendover Ave.
•  Take Wendover to Market St. exit (3.6 miles). Right on W. Market St., go 1.6 miles to S. Mendenhall St. Turn right on Mendenhall St.
• After turning onto Mendenhall the Troy Bumpas is 3rd house on right. The Greensboro Inn is a 3-story red-brick house with 4 white columns on large front porch and sign in front. The driveway is just past the house - it's the first driveway on the right after you turn onto Mendenhall. Drive up past the Inn - parking is in the back.

 

From southbound US 220 (coming from Roanoke and points north):

• US 220 approaching Greensboro becomes Battleground Ave. Stay on Battleground to Westridge Rd. The intersection of Battleground with Westridge is the next big intersection after New Garden Rd, about 1 mile past New Garden. Turn right on Westridge and proceed about 3/4 mile to Bryan Blvd. Turn left onto Bryan toward downtown Greensboro (not toward airport). Bryan merges with Benjamin Pkwy after about 1 1/2 miles. Stay on Benjamin 1 more mile to Green Valley Rd. Turn right on Green Valley Rd., proceed past Friendly Center (large shopping center on your right) to Friendly Ave. Turn left (east) onto Friendly. After about 1 mile Friendly bears to right and merges with Market St. After merging, get into right lane. Mendenhall is the next intersection after Tate St. Turn right onto Mendenhall.
• After turning onto Mendenhall the Greensboro Bed and Breakfast is 3rd house on right. It's a 3-story red-brick house with 4 white columns on large front porch. The driveway is just past the house - it's the first driveway on the right after you cross Market. Drive up past the Inn - parking is in the back.
